In January 2018, CHULS was a signatory to a submission by the four subject associations for the academic discipline of law to the Legal Services Board, concerning the SRA’s proposal to introduce the Solicitors Qualifying Examination. You can read it here [.pdf].

In January 2018, CHULS submitted its response to the Consultation of the Bar Standards Board on Future Bar Training: Shaping the education and training requirements for prospective barristers [.pdf]. You can read it here (.pdf).

In late December 2017, CHULS submitted its response to the Curriculum and Assessment Review Proposals which have been released by the Bar Standards Board. Our submission can be found here (.docx).

Following their initial consultation exercise, see below, on proposals for ‘Training for Tomorrow: assessing competence‘ the Solicitors Regulation Authority  invited submissions on its proposals for a Single Qualifying Examination for Solicitors. CHULS response to the SRA’s second consultation on Training can be found here (docx).

We will be contributing to the consultation on ‘Future Bar Training: Consultation on the Future of Training‘ currently being conducted by the Bar Standards Board. A draft of our submission can be found here (.docx).
