Lucy Blackburn

Lucy is Associate Dean for the School of Law and Policing at the University of Lancashire. She qualified as a commercial property solicitor in 2007, before joining the then, University of Central Lancashire in 2014. Since then, Lucy has taught on all levels of undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes, with a specialism in Land Law and Property Practice. Her research interests are in Clinical Legal Education and pro bono and in 2022 she established the Lancashire Law Centre at the university. Lucy is an active member of the Clinical Legal Education community and a leading authority on Qualifying Work Experience gained in university law clinics. Lucy is a former co-chair of CLEO, a former member of the Attorney General’s Committee for Pro Bono in England and Wales, a member of the Legal Education sub-committee for the SLS and an editor of the International Journal of Clinical Legal Education.
