Professor Sally Kyd (formerly Cunningham) has been a Professor of Law at the University of Leicester since 2013 and was appointed as Head of Leicester Law School in October 2019. Prior to this she was a lecturer and senior lecturer, also at Leicester, having completed her PhD there. Her research interests relate to criminal law and criminal justice, and she has particular expertise in homicide and driving offences. She is co-author of a leading textbook: Clarkson and Keating: Criminal Law: Text and Materials, and is a contributor to Blackstone’s Criminal Practice (Part C: Road Traffic Offences).
